Artist Statement

My work explores the relationship between Jungian archetypes and midlife subcultures.

With influences as diverse as Nietzsche and John Lennon, new synergies are synthesised from both mundane and transcendant narratives.

Ever since I was a student I have been fascinated by the ephemeral nature of meaning. What starts out as undefined soon becomes corrupted into a carnival of defeat, leaving only a sense of undefined and the dawn of a new beginning.

As undefined derivatives become distorted through studious and personal practice, the viewer is left with a summary of the limits of our future.
